Fine Motor Scissor Skills Cutting Strips – School Theme
Young children LOVE using scissors or tools
we like to use, so hand them these fun cutting strips for them to practice
fine motor skill and work those little hand and finger muscles. The strips include
easier cutting lines along with harder more complex cutting lines. You could
choose to print and use the set that your group will most likely be able to do.
I would print easier less complex lines with 2-3 year olds and then the mixed
ones for 3-5 year olds. The best part about these is that you don’t need to
prep a bunch of different things to do them, just print and set them up on a
table and you’re done!
Pre-writing activities provide so much benefit for kids learning and working on their hand and finger muscles. Giving them ample and enough opportunities to do these in the classroom and at home will help them develop these muscles and learn how to use the scissors correctly. Another added benefit is how much joy they get from accomplishing a simple task such as following the lines to cut and use the scissors.
There are two options to print these cutting task cards, you could print them in black and white OR color.
Another way you could use these is to have
the kids trace on the dotted lines. You can also laminate them for repeated
use! Easy!
I'm having problems downloading your projects. I am able to down load from other sites.
