Shapes Playdough Mats

Preschool and kindergarten kids will love these Shapes Play Dough Learning Mats! Looking for a fun way to reinforce math shapes? These multi-sensory mats will have kids reading the name of the shape, identifying the matching objects on the mats and then building the shape using play dough. An added bonus, these mats include a black and white version which you could easily print off and use with bingo daubers (do-a-dot markers) – win, win!

FREE printable Shape learning mats that can be used with playdough or do-a-dot markers, or both. Fun activity for preschoolers and kinders to learn about shapes!

Print as many sets of these mats as you need. Laminate them or use dry erase pocket inserts for easy prep! Be sure that you have the play dough, dry erase markers, and do-a-dot markers ready at the table for the
kids to use.

Shapes Play Dough & Do-a-Dot Mats

Use these mats to help kids strengthen their knowledge of shapes, as well as develop fine motor skills using playdough and/or do-a-dot markers!

When using these mats with play dough, have the kids build small balls to build the shape shown on each mat. They will also identify the matching shape at the bottom and then cover the squares with counters or even dough to identify the matching shapes.

This can also be played in groups. Give each group the same mat and have the kids build their shape and identify the matching shapes. After they’re done, check their mats and the group with the best-looking mat (all filled with play dough) and correctly identified shapes wins!
