Learning to Skip Count
For kids who are learning to skip count, I find that teaching using a hundreds chart can be very useful. (There is a FREE hundreds chart at the bottom of this post that you can download. You can also purchase a larger chart here, or a set of 10 charts here.)
Use counters or any small objects to cover the numbers that are being skipped. For example, the first picture below shows how to skip count by 5's.
My daughter had the most trouble with skip counting by 3's. So I showed her how to skip over two numbers at a time on the hundreds chart. She looked at this chart while completing the worksheets.
