The recent Pokemon GO craze brings back nostalgic memories from my childhood. I'm not ashamed to admit that I play this game and love it more than my kids do. Granted, they're still very young (now 5 & 3), but they do enjoy catching the Pokemon monsters with me. However, I thought it would be a good idea if my kids had a more age-appropriate Pokemon game to play, so of course I had to create an alphabet game.
This FREE Pokemon inspired ABC game is great for letter recognition and letter case matching. It comes with both upper case and lower case letters, so children can match either upper to upper, lower to lower, or upper to lower cases!
I recommend laminating the sheets and using velcro dots to stick the pieces, but it can also be done as a cut & paste activity.
Kids will love "catching" the Pokemon with the Pokeballs while practicing their letters!

ReplyDeleteMy son is going to love this! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAh my 4 loves it! And I know when my kinder gets home he will enjoy it too. Only wish the p went with pikachu and stuff like that. Maybe next time? No letters? Sound matching?
ReplyDeleteHi Chelsie, I'm so glad your child loves it! I would have wanted to match the letters with the names but I didn't have a Pokemon for each letter of the alphabet. :)
DeleteThank you for such a great and "today" work task activity! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! So glad you like it :)
DeleteWould it have been too much work to match the pokemon with the first letter of their name? Why is Articuno holding an E and Eevee holding a D?
