Watermelon Math Game: Roll & Cover

Watermelon is my kids' favorite summertime treat! Well okay, maybe second favorite after ice cream, but it's a close call. Here is a free printable watermelon themed math game that will get kids counting and learning their numbers - perfect for summer learning!

FREE printable Watermelon math game for kids to practice numbers and counting. Perfect summer learning activity or book activity to go along with The Watermelon Seed.

This Watermelon Roll & Cover game can be used with pom poms, buttons, watermelon seeds, or anything else you can think of. Includes 2 levels of difficulty.

For younger toddlers and children, use the first page with numbers 1-6 and a single die. Roll the die and place a token on top of the correct number. This can be played with multiple players or just one.

Reading a regular die can be hard for young children, so I have included a printable paper die that is larger and easier to count the dots.

The second page is a more advanced version, which is great for learning addition. It includes numbers 2-12 and you roll two dice, add the numbers together, and place a token on top of the correct number.

This is a great game to accompany the book, The Watermelon Seed by Greg Pizzoli. (affiliate link)
