This FREE Tools Shadow Matching activity is a fun learning activity for toddlers. Visual discrimination is an important skill for kids to develop, as it helps to prepare them for more advanced skills such as reading and math. This activity is also good for building vocabulary skills if you say the name of each tool as they find the match.
The tools included in this activity are:
- drill
- screw driver
- screw
- hammer
- saw
- wrench
- two-sided wrench
- pliers
I recommend that you laminate the pages, then cut out the tools. Place velcro dots on the back of the tool pieces and in the middle of the shadow. Kids can stick the matching pieces and won't get frustrated with the pieces shifting or moving out of place.
