Now that summer is here we've started with the barbecues, the yummy foods like hot dogs, burgers and watermelon, and all the fun outdoor activities. But what do we do on rainy days or days that are too hot to go outside? Take all that summery goodness and make it out of playdough, of course!

Playdough mats are great because it allows your child to use their imagination and be creative, while also helping to develop their fine motor skills and strength in their little hands which will get them ready for pencil and scissor control.
I made 5 summer themed printable playdough mats:
- Make a BBQ
- Create a watermelon
- Make hot dogs
- Make an ice cream cone
- Create a beach!
Playdough mats work best when laminated! This is the laminator that I use below: (affiliate link)
These are great, thank you. Just pinned!

ReplyDeleteLove these -- as a piano teacher I always encourage my littlest students to play with playdough -- it builds up the fine motor muscles in their fingers and helps with piano technique!
